The Georgian government has approved the direct sale of gas pipelines in western regions of the country for 19.8 million lari ($7 million).
The corresponding decree was signed by Georgia's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. The privatization involves 41 gas pipelines in villages of the Imereti, Guria, and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regions. The process is scheduled over 17 years, with payments to the state beginning in 2032.
