Slovakia evaluating long-term cooperation with Azerbaijan on gas supplies

Slovakia is evaluating the possibility of establishing a long-term partnership with Azerbaijan for the supply of natural gas, “Caspian Energy Media”  reports.

"SPP, the largest energy supplier in Slovakia, concluded a short-term, pilot contract for the supply of natural gas from SOCAR. The gas was purchased during December and the delivery point was Austria. We are now evaluating the cooperation to consider next steps," the company stated.

SPP highlighted that as part of its program to diversify gas sources due to the cessation of supplies from Russia via Ukraine, it has entered into contracts with BP, ExxonMobil, Shell, ENI, and RWE.
