A memorandum of understanding was signed between Baku State University (BSU) and Japan's University of Tsukuba.

The document was signed by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev and Tsukuba University President Nagata Kyosuke.

It should be noted that the University of Tsukuba, founded in 1973, is one of the most prestigious universities in Japan. The University of Tsukuba ranks 355th in the QS world university ranking, and 351-4000 in the Times Higher Education world university ranking.
