Caspian European Club holds online B2G forum with participation of MUSTAFA ABBASBEYLI

Held with the participation of  MUSTAFA ABBASBEYLI, Chief of the State Employment Service under the Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the online B2G forum discussed the challenges which entrepreneurs faced during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and post-pandemic period. Listened in the course of the online forum, which lasted for 2 hours, were also suggestions made by entrepreneurs. 

This news was reported by the Chairman and Group CEO of the Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy Telman Aliyev.

In the course of the forum, held on the subject of the labor relationship in the time of the special quarantine regime, M. Abbasbeyli spoke about important measures taken to ensure the welfare of citizens in our country, and about broad-scale labor, employment and social protection-related reforms ongoing in accordance with the successful social- economic  development strategy of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that revolutionary social packages introduced in 2019, provided strong support for the welfare of 4.2 million people. Besides, annual funds worth 3.9 million AZN have been additionally allocated for these packages.

Speaking about social well-being, employment and support measures taken in the time of the pandemic, the Chief of the Service said that a total of 4.8 million people enjoy the support provided through these measures, and that entrepreneurs are still getting support from the state.

M. Abbasbeyli noted that the work on employment protection and its positive results, as well as an increase of the number of labor contracts, are ongoing even in the time of the pandemic. The most part of this growth falls to the share of the private sector. Speaking about the work carried out to accelerate the shift from informal employment to formal employment, the Chief of the Service noted that functional capabilities of the “Labor contract notice” subsystem would be increased. In the meantime, he also stressed the significance of the “Employment” subsystem.

He spoke about reforms aimed at building the work of employment services on basis of modern technologies and innovative approaches, increasing flexibility and quality of employment services, their role in the labor market, spoke about measures taken to boost active employment, as well as improve professional training and occupational guidance system. M. Abbasbeyli informed about the work done to extend the self-employment program, create new centers of professional training in the regions of our country. He also answered the questions given by the members of the Caspian European Club.

On behalf of the top-managers of the member companies of the Club, the Chairman and CEO of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev expressed gratitude to Mustafa Abbasbeyli for open discussions. 

He noted that Mustafa Abbasbeyli used to be a CEO of the Caspian European Club and headed the legal department. During this period, structural changes were implemented and the long-term strategy of the Caspian European Club was developed at the initiative of Mustafa Abbasbeyli.
