In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), a special quarantine regime was set in the country by the decision of the operational headquarters established under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Until April 20, 2020, people had to stay in private houses, permanent and temporary residences. During this regime, the government of Azerbaijan mobilizes all its resources to solve the problems facing the population. Due to this, the heating season which lasted till April 15 of each year will be prolonged. Thus, according to an official letter received from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Azerigaz Production Union, heat supply to facilities is currently continuing in the same routine.

It is noteworthy that Azerigaz PU is supplying gas to 505 boiler houses. It includes 340 boilers in Baku and Sumgait, and 165 in the regions.In particular, the number of boilers supplying heat to educational institutions and kindergartens reaches 94. 44 of them are operating in Baku and Sumgait, while 50 are located in the regions.
