Exchange: Gas demand growing at a record pace

The trade volume at Turkey's spot natural gas market grew by record 8.7%, up to 7.76 million Turkish liras early this week, Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data showed on Tuesday. Caspian Energy News reports this news, citing Anadolu Agency.

Total trade on Saturday amounted to 7.14 million liras.

On Monday's spot market, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas cost 1,426 liras, while the total natural gas trade volume amounted to 5.42 million cubic meters.

Turkey also received 147.7 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Monday.

US$1 equals 6.43 Turkish liras.

It is noteworthy that early this week the Algerian energy company Hyproc SC supplied 112,867 tonnes from the Algerian port Arzew to the final point of destination – floating storage regasification unit Khatai-Dortyol in the Turkish province Khatai.  The vessel sails under the Algerian flag.
