On August 28 the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov met with the Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy.

It was also noted that joint education fairs have been organized, which allow applicants to choose specialized higher education institutions in Russia and serve to strengthen academic ties between the countries.

The meeting also discussed the issue of organizing joint competitions of scientific projects between the two countries. These competitions create new opportunities for strengthening scientific cooperation between scientists and researchers of Uzbekistan and Russia, and also serve as an important platform for supporting research activities and exchanging best practices.
