Introducing smart technologies for urban and regional development

Relying on 40 years of industrial and market experience, today, Sensemi Industrial Group is a family of companies founded to meet the needs of different sectors such as high quality electrical equipment, implementation of automation projects, central heating management, and public transport. Our sales department is supporting the industry by supplying a wide range of electrical equipment for medium and low voltage electricity networks. All products are guaranteed high quality; our products enjoy long-term guarantee and durability. With its wide range of high-quality products, the Sensemi Industrial Group is one of the leading companies in the field of electrical and heating systems industry in the public and private sectors of the country. In addition, thanks to technical know-how and all-round experience gained in over 40 years, our products are accepted and recognized for their high quality, accuracy, sensitivity, reliability, and high level of functionality. The Sensemi Industrial Group managed and succeeded to take the first place award between 1,150 companies in Ministry of Energy’s countrywide survey in the year of 2005. All companies were carefully studied and surveyed by a team of experts using EFQM model and the award was presented by the Minister himself. Our activities: 1. Smart Metering (AMI, AMR) 2.Manufacturing high quality of low and medium voltage switchgear and accessories in the venture owned jointly with the company Eaton-Moeller (Germany).3. Electrical components for low voltage switchgears and power meters. 4. Pad-mounted compact substations under the license of the Canadian company Moloney. 5. Cooperation in the field of public transport, especially subway, with Bombardier Co.

Sensemi also performs exclusive supply and distribution of all other above-described products in the local and regional markets. Owing to the common policy of the group and Sensemi Industrial Group CEOs’ aspiration to expand areas of activity, the company’s specialists are studying the feasibility of building factories with the production line of miniature switches and smart electricity meters in other countries. Smart meters will increasingly replace conventional gas and electricity meters as national grids become more flexible, efficient and adaptable to renewable energy technologies such as wind and solar. They offer a wealth of intelligent functions including the ability to inform consumers how much energy they are using, via a display installed in their home. They can also communicate directly with energy suppliers thereby eliminating the need for staff to visit homes to read the meter. They do this by sending out a signal, rather like a mobile-phone signal, which delivers the meter reading straight to the energy supplier. It works the other way round as well, enabling an energy supplier to send information to a display in consumers’ homes. The importance of smart meters for the visibility of information for consumers lies in the fact that with current conventional meters it is very easy for householders to use more energy than they actually need. However, smart meters enable consumers to see exactly how much energy they are using and when they are using it. They can also hold information about past energy use so that householders can compare their present level of energy consumption with past usage. This, in turn, enables householders to save money by reducing their household energy bills. Consider a bustling cityscape filled with clusters of homes and other building types. Within each home in a city lies a network of electricity, gas, and water meters - vital for keeping the city running smoothly. Our plan is to use the Lorawan technology to make these meters smarter and more efficient. Each home is equipped with energy meters. Regardless of whether these meters are smart, digital, or mechanical, we can enhance their capabilities by adding a device called the Lorawan Gateway Module. This module, hosted by a selected meter, serves as a powerful hub, connecting nearby meters for water, gas, or electricity, and even other smart devices like sensors. This gateway acts as a central hub, collecting data from all connected devices and transmitting it efficiently to the utility company’s servers via a 4G network. This setup allows us to harness the power of Lorawan technology to create a network of interconnected meters, simplifying data collection, management for residential areas, and eliminating the need for individual SIM cards or connections for each meter, making everything more efficient and cost-effective. This system can be operated across the whole city. Each area has its own hub connecting hundreds of meters. It’s like having one big system for managing all the data. We’re planning to create an extensive Lorawan network which may incorporate NB-IoT functionality as well. NB-IoT serves homes far from the city where gateway installation isn’t feasible, providing a dependable meter connection without nearby gateways. Setting up a Lorawan network typically requires a significant investment of both money and time, involving the installation of gateways in multiple locations throughout the city. Empowering all energy utilities with comprehensive solutions: Our versatile platform caters to all smart meter types, offering robust support for electrical, water, and gas utilities. Designed to seamlessly communicate with both residential and industrial meters, our IoT solution ensures a unified and efficient approach to managing diverse energy resources.
