The Uzbek-Vietnamese round table, held in Tashkent, was organized as part of the official visit to Uzbekistan by Tran Thanh Manh, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The event was attended by Jamshid Khodjaev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Tran Hong Ha, the Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam. Also present were heads of relevant ministries and departments, along with representatives from prominent Vietnamese companies, including Petrovietnam, Vinachem, Sovico, Vietnam Airlines, Vinafood, Vietravel, Perseus, Delion, and others.
The agenda included current issues related to expanding bilateral trade and economic investment cooperation. This encompasses collaboration in various sectors, including energy, oil and gas, the chemical industry, geology, agriculture, healthcare, digitalization, tourism, and pharmaceuticals.
Following the roundtable discussion, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministries of Health of both countries, along with a Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Vietnam for 2025-2026. Additionally, a Plan of Practical Activities for the Development of Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam for the same period was also established.
