Issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the D-8 organization in the agricultural sector have been discussed.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Sarvan Jafarov, met with a delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation, Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam.

During the meeting, the current state of agricultural cooperation between the organization's member states and prospects for its further development were thoroughly discussed. The parties exchanged views on strengthening the legal and contractual framework of cooperation, increasing trade turnover of agricultural and food products, implementing digitalization, innovative technologies, and solutions in the agricultural sector, ensuring its sustainable development, and facilitating the transfer of advanced technologies, “Caspian Energy Media” reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.

It was emphasized that there is significant potential for expanding mutual cooperation in the agricultural sphere. The parties expressed their interest in developing a partnership between Azerbaijan and D-8 countries in agriculture, highlighting the importance of holding meetings and events in this format.
