Russia cancels restrictions against Turkey in field of tourism

On June 29, RF President Vladimir Putin instructed the Government to begin work on normalising relations with Turkey, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press service of RF President.

“I would like to inform you that after receiving a letter from the Turkish President, we have decided to start work to normalise our relations with our Turkish partners”, he emphasized.

Regarding our bilateral relations, the head of state of Russia started with tourism:  even though this is coming at a moment when we see an upsurge in terrorist activity… But nonetheless, we will lift the restrictions in this area.

Head of State of Russia emphasized that “President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan assured me that the Turkish government would do everything to ensure security of our citizens in Turkey”.

Vladimir Putin asked the Russian Federation Government to begin the process of normalising trade and economic ties with Turkey in general: “Mr Medvedev, I would like you to draft proposals for amendments to the legislative base in this area”.

It is noteworthy that the date of meeting of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has also been announced. Both Presidents will meet at G20 summit which takes place in the Chinese city of Khanchzhoy on September 4-5.
