Serbia, Saudi Arabia sign first bilateral agreement

Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia Rasim Ljajic and President of the Saudi Supreme Commission for Tourism and Antiquities Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud signed a memorandum of cooperation in tourism between Serbia and Saudi Arabia, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the official website of the Government of Serbia.

Ljajic said that this is the first bilateral agreement between Serbia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that will boost the two countries' political and economic cooperation.

Ljajic pointed out that the aim is to increase the number of tourists from Saudi Arabia and inform them about the tourism potential and investment opportunities in Serbia.

This visit will be the foundation for the future political and economic relations between our countries, said Ljajic.

Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said that his country’s delegation saw progress and stability in Serbia, and announced new and more intensive cooperation between the two countries.

Serbia is seen as a very important and key player in the Balkans and in the international community, he said.
