Gasoline prices stop rising

“In May the growth of fuel prices comprised 5.6% compared to April, surpassing the inflation rate, and at the same time the growth of prices stopped. The decision was taken to reduce excise duties on gasoline and diesel fuel from June 1, as well as not to raise excise duties on oil products from July 1”, Minister of Energy of Russia Alexander Novak said during the annual special Direct Line with Vladimir Putin.

“Urgent fiscal measures have already had a positive impact. We have fixed no increase in prices at the filling stations since the end of May”, Alexander Novak said.
