Kazakhstan increases oil production

“Big projects will make a substantial contribution to the economic growth of the country. Oil production volume will increase gradually and reach 104mln tonnes per year by 2025. Crude production in Kazakhstan reached 37.7mln tonnes within 5 months of 2018”, Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev said, Caspian Energy News ( ) reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.

“This year’s production is expected at over 87mln tonnes and now we are already ahead of the schedule”, Bozumbayev forecasted.

It bears reminding that oil production in Kazakhstan totaled record 86.2mln tonnes in 2017 compared to 78 mln tonnes fixed in 2016.

It is noteworthy that oil production growth is reached at the expense of three large fields: Kashagan, Karachaganak, Tengiz.
