Russia waiting for a compromise at the OPEC meeting

“At the June meeting in Vienna, Russia is waiting for a compromise from the cutback deal countries. All countries are interested in a stable situation in the market. Nobody wants overheating in the market. One should take into account the fact of a traditional increase in demand vs. the winter period in the third quarter”, Minister of Energy Alexander Novak said in the interview with Bloomberg TV channel.

“An additional factor is the output cutback level, which is currently higher than planned at the time of the deal, comprising 2.7 million barrels per day instead of 1.8 million barrels”, the minister said, Caspian Energy News ( with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
