Oil processing to grow in Kazakhstan

“After modernization, the processing capacity of all three refineries will increase from 13.8 million tonnes to 16.5 million tonnes. The output of all types of light petroleum products, namely gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel, will go up”, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev said at the meeting in Atyrau, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press statement of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“We expect to meet completely the domestic needs for domestic petroleum products. The gasoline output at these refineries we increase by 2 million 353 thousand tonnes, diesel fuel production will grow by 917,000 tonnes and jet fuel by 539,000 tonnes. We will start producing 133,000 tonnes of benzol and 496,000 tonnes of paraxylene per year”, the minister added.
