Works on TAP are well on track

Roughly 95% of 55,000 pipes have been received in Greece, Albania and Italy. The last offshore pipes were offloaded in early September, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to TAP.

The initial capacity of TAP will make 10 bcm per year with a possibility of its doubling.

TAP will be 878 kilometers in length (Greece 545 km, Albania 215 km, Adriatic Sea 105 km, and South Italy 8 km). Its highest point will be 1,800 meters in Albania’s mountains, while its lowest point will be 820 meters beneath the sea.

TAP’s shareholding is comprised of BP (20%), SOCAR (20%), Snam S.p.A. (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).
