Works on TAP are well on track

Roughly 95% of 55,000 pipes have been received in Greece, Albania and Italy. The last offshore pipes were offloaded in early September, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to TAP.

The initial capacity of TAP will make 10 bcm per year with a possibility of its doubling.

TAP will be 878 kilometers in length (Greece 545 km, Albania 215 km, Adriatic Sea 105 km, and South Italy 8 km). Its highest point will be 1,800 meters in Albania’s mountains, while its lowest point will be 820 meters beneath the sea.

TAP’s shareholding is comprised of BP (20%), SOCAR (20%), Snam S.p.A. (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).
