TAP’s construction on track

Over 50% of trenching work along the TAP’s route in Greece and Albania (387km out of 765km) is now completed. The construction of the pipeline is going ahead, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the statement posted in twitter.

The initial capacity of TAP will make 10 bcm per year with a possibility of its doubling.

TAP will be 878 kilometers in length (Greece 545 km, Albania 215 km, Adriatic Sea 105 km, and South Italy 8 km). Its highest point will be 1,800 meters in Albania’s mountains, while its lowest point will be 820 meters beneath the sea.

TAP’s shareholding is comprised of BP (20%), SOCAR (20%), Snam S.p.A. (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).
