SOCAR signs a memorandum

SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz have signed a memorandum on joint development of fields, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press statement of SOCAR.

It should be reminded that SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev arrived in Tashkent on May 17 to attend the 21st Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan international exhibition and conference (OGU-2017).

Until 2020, Uzbekistan plans to implement 38 projects in the oil and gas industry with a total value of about $20.6 billion.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Gulomjon Ibragimov, in 2016 foreign investors continued their work on 14 projects worth about $16.3 billion.

LUKOIL, Kogas and EPC contractor GS E & C, China National Petroleum Corp, Sasol and Honeywell are working in the Uzbek energy sector.
