SWG holds session

Special Working Group on the development of the Convention for the legal status of the Caspian Sea held a session on the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Caspian states in Astana, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RK. 
Delegations of the Azerbaijan Republic, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation and Turkmenistan took part in the negotiations. The session was dedicated to the preparation for the 5th Caspian summit to be held in 2018 in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

SWG session agreed a preliminary agenda and the draft of the financial political document of the forth-coming high level meeting, as well as discussed the progress of work on coordination of drafts of five-sided sectoral documents and their preparation for signing within the framework of the 5th Caspian Summit along with the Convention about the legal status of the Caspian Sea.

The next session of the Special Working Group will be held in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The date of its conduction will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
