AIIB needs to finance EEU programs more heavily, - Presiden

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is taking part in One Belt, Road forum hosted today (May 15) in Beijing. With the One Belt, One Road project Central Asia has once again acquired strategic importance, becoming the main bridge between the world's largest markets, Nursultan Nazarbayev said in his speech. At the same time the head of state stressed the important role of the Eurasian Economic Union in this process. “In order to ensure efficient use of the growing transit potential of the Silk Road Economic Belt the movement of commodity flows should be consistently facilitated through improving the level of service and removing administrative barriers on what Kazakhstan is takes concrete measures. This requires expertise and appropriate funding. I believe that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank needs need to finance such programs more heavily because it is investments into the future”, the President of Kazakhstan said.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan said: “In recent years the world economy and trade have shown a sluggish performance and slowdown. In these conditions the world began to need strongly a new driver to boost international cooperation.
