Kazakhstan holds leadership in global uranium production sphere

“Enterprises of Kazatomprom produced 22.8 thousand tonnes of Uranium in 2014, which meets the planned figures”, Chairman of the Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC Nurlan Kapparov stated on March 12, speaking about the results of work of the company in 2014 and tasks set for 2015, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the press service of Samruk-Kazyna Wealth Fund.

According to him, Kazakhstan has maintained leadership in the global uranium production sphere, accounting for about 40% of global uranium production volume. “The company plans to produce 23.4 tonnes of uranium in 2015”, he noted.

“The average monthly salary within the group of enterprises of Kazatomprom JSC increased by 5.8% in 2014”, N.Kapparov said.
