Road motor vehicles registered on the rise

At the end of August, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 18 532 604, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press-service of the Turkish Statistical Office.

 

The total number of road motor vehicles registered to the traffic reached 18 million 532 thousand 604 by the end of August. Within the total, cars represented 52.1%, followed by small trucks 16.3%, motorcyles 15.2%, tractors 8.6%, trucks 4.2%, minibuses 2.3%, buses 1.1% and special purpose vehicles 0.2%.

 

Of these 87 thousand 885 vehicle registrations in August, cars accounted for 50%, followed by motorcycles 24.4%, small trucks 14.4% and tractors 5.7%. Minibuses, buses, trucks and special purpose vehicles constituted 5.5% of new registrations.

 

In August, the number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 19.7% compared with July. Cars, buses, small trucks, trucks, motorcycles, and special purpose vehicles decreased by 30.1%, 6%, 9.7%, 21.9%, 5.8% and 37.5% respectively. Minibuses and tractors increased by 6.2% and 16.3%.

 

In August, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 1.9% compared with the same month of the previous year. Minibuses, small trucks, trucks, motorcycles and tractors increased by 27.9%, 23.6%, 20%, 6.8% and 45.2% respectively. Cars, buses and special purpose vehicles decreased by 8.9%, 26.2% and 2.3%.
