Ceremony of laying foundation of a new carbamide plant held

Within a framework of a working visit to Balkan Velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the ceremony of laying foundation of a carbamide plant in the city of Garabogaz, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the press service of the President of Turkmenistan.


The framework agreement on construction of the plant between the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, the consortium of the Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan), and the Gap Inşaat Company affiliated to the Çalyk Holding Company (Turkey) was signed in September, 2013 during the visit of the government delegation of Turkmenistan to Japan.


The most advanced technologies of the leasing world companies will be used in carbamide production, and technologies of the Haldor Topse AS Company (Denmark) - for production of ammonia. 2,000 tons of ammonia will be produced at the plant daily, and 660,000 tons - annually.


The state-of-the-art technologies of the Saýpem Espieý Company (Italy) will be used at the plant for production carbamide. In general, the enterprise will produce 3,500 tons of carbamide daily, and 1,155 million tons annually. Fertilizers, which will be produced at the plant, will be exported to foreign countries.


Japanese partners Mitsubishi Corporation and Mıtsubisi Heavy Industries will equip the production workshops of the enterprise, and the Gap Inşaat Company will offer engineering services, will implement construction, supply necessary materials, and install equipment. Moreover, special trainings will be organized for hundreds of Turkmen engineers and technicians. The new plant will create over thousands of jobs. Within the framework of the project it is also planned to build a number of social facilities, including residential complex designed for 3,500 people, as well as facilities for water and power production for the needs of the carbamide plant.
