Draft state program of industrial-innovative development approved

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has held a Cabinet meeting to discuss the issues of financial and economic sphere.

The meeting approved the draft state program of industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019, which was presented by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and New Technologies A.Issekeshev.

The program will be implemented in four areas, including the development of the commodity sector (oil and gas industry, mining sector, agriculture), manufacturing, innovation sphere, as well as support for the sector, which entails the development of SMEs (tourism, services, etc.).

"Another feature of the state program is the abolition of sectoral programs. I would also like to note that this five-year plan provides for the cluster approach, active business participation and involvement of private investment," the Deputy Prime Minister said, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press service of PM of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A.Issekeshev also presented a draft plan on development of special economic zones. In addition, members of the Government discussed issues of improving the legislation on public procurement, as well as measures to further improve tax and customs administration, which were presented by Deputy Prime Minister - Finance Minister B.Sultanov.

In addition, Minister of Agriculture A.Mamytbekov informed on measures to support the development of the food industry.
