Azerbaijani youths study abroad within ICT Staff Training Program

 

Human resources development and training of highly qualified personnel is one of the 4 main strategic directions, determined for development of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the country. In this direction, project “Development of information system on human resources in the field of ICT” has been implemented, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

The architecture and principles of information system on human resources in the field of ICT have been developed, the software has been implemented and data base has been formed. The created information system makes it possible to analyze the current status of ICT and also predict the future potential. The data relating to personnel policy in the sector is from the annual report “Ministry of Communications and High Technologies – 2013”. According to the report published by the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT), in connection with the retraining of personnel, 2249 people were involved in training and recurrent training programs in 40 different directions in 2013.

 

The content of training programs covers areas such as cybercrime investigation, satellite engineering and the management of NGN stations. To develop their professional skills, 754 people attended the trainings in ICT, 210 people - in Centralized Information System for Mass Services and 59 people - in station engineering.

 

221 young people had an opportunity to study abroad, 48 of them are currently continuing their studies within “ICT Staff Training Program” of the Human Resources Fund for ICT Development, established with the participation of MCHT and leading IT companies in the country.
