Minister visited ANAS Institute of Control System

Minister of Communications and High Technologies, academician Ali Abbasov visited the Institute of Control Systems (Cybernetics) of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

Director of the Institute, academician Telman Aliyev provided the guests with extensive information on research work carried out at the Institute, achievements of the institute, patents, monographs published by the employees of the institute, papers published in reputable international journals, projects proposed,  instruments and devices developed by the institute.

The guests also received full information about the operation of the telemetry stations Robust Noise Monitoring (RNM) built by the institute for monitoring of anomalous seismic processes, wells located at a depth of 5 meters on the island of Qum, in Shirvan, Siyazan, Neftchala, Naftalan, Nakhchivan, Gazakh regions, in the territory of the Republic of Turkmenistan, Institute of Control Systems, as well as the process of receiving and processing anomalous seismic signals at these stations.

It was noted that a pilot version of the robust noise monitoring system was developed which is implemented in the 35 oil producing facilities of Bibiheybat Oil and Gas Producing Enterprise.

“The system saves energy by  more than 50%, significantly increases the time between overhauls of oil production equipment and improves profitability by more than 2 times. Azneft Production Association has confirmed the effectiveness of the system by issuing an act and it was considered appropriate to use it in other oil-producing departments,” said the Director of the Institute.

In turn, the Minister noted the importance of telemetry stations Robust Noise Monitoring for monitoring of anomalous seismic processes, and theories and technologies proposed by the institute have been recognized on world scale and dedicated to the global issues, and stressed the commercialization of innovative entrepreneurship and science for the widespread application of this work. For this purpose, Ali Abbasov suggested considering the possibility of developing joint projects between MCHT, SOCAR and ANAS and organizing mass production of these devices in industrial parks, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the press service of Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
