Inflation declining in Kazakhstan

“For 9 months the cumulative inflation in Kazakhstan comprised 4.2% compared with the level of 2016 (5.6%). The annual inflation for September was at the level of 7.1%. In 2016, at that time, the annual inflation was 16.6%, Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev said, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press statement of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

“In 2017 we expect the inflation to remain within the target corridor at 6-8% for the current year. The quantitative estimation of inflationary expectations for the year ahead at the level of 6.5% is below the actual inflation and is within the target corridor of the next year at 5-7%”, Daniyar Akishev added.
