Inflation declining in Kazakhstan

“For 9 months the cumulative inflation in Kazakhstan comprised 4.2% compared with the level of 2016 (5.6%). The annual inflation for September was at the level of 7.1%. In 2016, at that time, the annual inflation was 16.6%, Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Daniyar Akishev said, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the press statement of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

“In 2017 we expect the inflation to remain within the target corridor at 6-8% for the current year. The quantitative estimation of inflationary expectations for the year ahead at the level of 6.5% is below the actual inflation and is within the target corridor of the next year at 5-7%”, Daniyar Akishev added.
