Caspian European Club’s ICT Committee holds session

The Committee for Information-Communication Technologies (ICT Committee), operating within the Caspian European Club, held a session in Baku on February 11.

Presiding over the session was the Head of the Committee, General Director of R.I.S.K. Company Jabir Jumshudov. Participating in the event were also executives of telecommunication and IT companies of Azerbaijan, as well as CEIBC member companies representing other sectors of economy.

The event took place within the framework of preparation for the business forum with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan. The companies discussed issues that were of interest to them and problems facing them in IT field. The ways of settlement of these issues were considered as well. Following the results of discussions between the working groups and government agencies, a special report and a package of proposals will be prepared for their submission to the government agencies. 

The Caspian European Club, which brings together more than 5,000 member companies and organizations from 70 countries around the world, was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies working in the Caspian-Black Sea region and with the active involvement of the Caspian Energy International Media Group.

His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is the founder and the First Chairman of the Caspian European Club.
