Medical tourism issues discussed within framework of Caspian European Club

The Committees on Medicine and Tourism of the Caspian European Club held a joint meeting on January 11 in Baku.

The meeting was co-chaired by the Head of the Caspian European Club’s Medical Committee, General Director of “Sağlam Ailə” Medical Center Vugar Eyvazov and Head of the Caspian European Club’s Tourism Committee, Executive Director of Barattson Company Elshan Rahimov.

Issues concerning medical tourism development in Azerbaijan and the region were discussed at the meeting where executives and representatives of medical companies made their suggestions. First Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian European Club Telman Aliyev noted the importance of such events for representatives of different sectors in order to establish a government-to-business dialogue, and called to submit suggestions to representatives of the government agencies, which will promote the improvement of business climate in the country.

Suggestions made at the meeting will be studied by the Legal Committee of the Caspian European Club, following which they are submitted to the relevant government agencies.

The Caspian European Club, which brings together more than 5,000 member companies and organizations from 70 countries around the world, was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies working in the Caspian-Black Sea region and with the active involvement of the Caspian Energy International Media Group.

His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is the founder and the First Chairman of the Caspian European Club.
