Energy highway planned to be launched

“Ashgabat and Tashkent agreed to develop cooperation in the field of electricity transit and transmission from Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic via Uzbekistan, which will launch the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TUTAP) energy highway. The further progress in restoration of electricity lines between the Central Asian countries will provide a real opportunity for CASA-1000 and TUTAP projects to operate throughout the whole year”, President of the Power Industry Council of CIS and Minister of Energy of RF Alexander Novak said in the course of the 51st session of the Council, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the Ministry of Energy of RF.
