Memorandum signed between the countries

Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic Miguel Vargas signed a memorandum during the yesterday’s meeting, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the press statement of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Energy Ministerial Conference and the Eighth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development will welcome representatives from 78 countries, including energy ministers from 20 countries, within the framework of EXPO-2017.

“We expect an exchange of views on the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change in Astana on June 11-14. Also, in order to implement the initiative of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev unveiled at the 70th session of the United Nations, the opening of the International Center for the Development of Green Technologies and Investment Projects under the auspices of the United Nations will be announced in Astana on June 11”, Kanat Bozumbayev said.

In turn, Miguel Vargas highlighted the importance of hosting the specialized international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana for the world community, “and the exchange of achievements in the energy sector and green economy” will be an invaluable experience for all participating countries in the development of a concept on development of energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies”.
