About 30 new power plants have been built and commissioned in Azerbaijan since 2004, which is the first condition for economic development, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated on April 17 in the course of the Republican conference of non-oil exporters in Yevlakh, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.
According to him, Azerbaijan has regular electricity supply.
Ilham Aliyev also noted that gas provision supply in the country totals 92% at present, while this figure makes 100% in the capital.
“No investments flow to areas which have no infrastructure”, he emphasized and noted that roads to the length of 11,000km have been laid in the country since the adoption of the first state program on development of regions in 2004.
