Russian NPPs increase electricity generation

In July 2015 Russian NPPs (branch companies of Rosenergoatomn concern) generated 15.228 billion kWh of electricity vs. 13.814 billion kWh of target indicator. Thus, the planned target for power generation was fulfilled at 110.2%, Caspian Energy News ( reports with reference to the official website of Rosatom.

In total, 113.5 billion kWh of electricity was generated for 7 months of the year, which is 2.9 billion kWh higher than the target figure.

The growth of electricity generation at nuclear power plants has been ensured notably by optimizing the timing of the repair company.

In the past, 2014 saw an absolute record for power generation at the Russian nuclear power plants, at 180.5 billion kWh.

Currently, the NPP operated by Rosenergoatom produces accounts for about 17% of the total power generation in Russia.
