Azerbaijan is EU’s main partner in South Caucasus, Minister

“The new agreement between the European Union and Azerbaijan will extend the potential of the economic cooperation”, EU-Commissioner for European Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said at the EU-Azerbaijan business forum. 

“EU will continue supporting Azerbaijan’s ambitions toward further diversification of economy. Azerbaijan has chosen a right path and is going through it successfully”, Johannes Hahn added.

“Investments made by the European Union into Azerbaijan’s economy make over $33billion. Investments made by Azerbaijan into the EU states’ economy make $15 billion”, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev told journalists within the framework of the 5th Azerbaijan-EU business forum held in Baku.

“Azerbaijan is EU’s main partner in South Caucasus. There are about 1,600 EU companies operating in Azerbaijan. He noted that their number will grow year by year”, the Minister noted.
