E-invoice statements become mandatory in Kazakhstan

Further control of the sale of goods within Kazakhstan will be carried out in the ‘E-invoicing’ data system, Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov said at the Government Hour in Majilis, talking about digital technologies in the tax and customs administration, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to the press office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“Further control over the sale of goods within the country will be carried out in the ‘E-invoicing’ data system. Since 2014, taxpayers have been issuing electronic invoices on a voluntary basis. At the same time, the tax legislation provides for a phased transition of taxpayers to a mandatory e-invoices submission from 2016 to 2019, ”said Alikhan Smailov.

“At the same time, for the convenience of users, other primary documents have been converted into an electronic format: electronic contracts, acts of completed works, which enabled to fill out an e-invoice form automatically, ”Alikhan Smailov added.
