President of Azerbaijan extends condolences due to death of Natig Aliyev

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Milli Majlis Speaker Oktay Aliyev, Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, members of the government and parliament expressed condolences due to the pass away of the country’s Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev, Caspian Energy News (www.caspianenergy.net) reports with reference to 1news.az.

The obituary published by Azertac states: “The Azerbaijani community has faced a grievous loss. Minister of Energy of the Azerbaijan Republic passed away at the age of 70 on June 9”.

The obituary notes numerous merits of N.Aliyev in the successful implementation of the state programs and the concept of development, aimed at ensuring energy security of the country, implementation of the oil-gas projects Baku-Supsa, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum.

“Natig Aliyev has made a worthy contribution to the formation of cooperation on the Southern Gas Corridor project, a project aimed at global energy security”, the obituary says.

It says that N.Aliyev was awarded high awards by a number of the world states, as well as Azerbaijani “Shohret” order: “The memory of Natig Aliyev, a well-known social-political figure, an honored engineer, a skilful organizer and a humble man, will always dwell with those who knew him”.
